Last week, we completed the solar panel cleaning at the largest solar panel array in Shropshire. It is also one of the largest solar arrays of its kind in the UK.
Solar panel cleaning at Comberton Farm, Shropshire
Installed in August 2011, the solar array at Comberton Poultry Farm in Ludlow, was originally installed by 7 Energy and consists of a dramatic 150 metre x 14 metre ground mounted framework with 1200 Schott solar panels.
We were asked by farm owner Mr Davies to clean the array. He had read information about why solar panels need cleaning, had noticed a considerable layer of dust and grime had built up on his solar panels and he was concerned this would be affecting the performance of the solar array. Being on a poultry farm, ammonia is an issue. Therefore, solar panel cleaning on such arrays is essential.
The array was turned off whilst the solar panel cleaning was carried out. But the cleaning was completed by our team in less than two days, meaning Mr Davies lost very little output from his array.
The array will continue to be monitored by Mipower of Shropshire and we will shortly be receiving figures as to the increased output our solar panel cleaning service has brought to Mr Davies and his solar array.
We have carried out solar panel cleaning in Shropshire for over 4 years now and we are happy to offer a professional cleaning service to customers old and new. For a free quotation for your solar panel cleaning, please contact us.
