Herefordshire

Herefordshire is a rural county and we have carried out solar panel cleaning for a number of farmers on the roofs of poultry sheds and cow sheds. We have cleaned the impressive looking solar array at Comberton Farm, owned by Farmpoint Ltd. Solar panels in rural counties like Herefordshire generally do not produce as much electricity as more urban counties due to the dust created by farms, unless they are cleaned regularly. The dust created on dairy and poultry has a particularly detrimental effect on a solar array. We have examined output on rural arrays and found dust can cause losses of up to 40%. Harvest time also creates a lot of dust which settles on the solar panels. These factors mean that solar panel cleaning is very important in rural counties like Herefordshire.
