Last night saw Clean Solar Solutions Awarded O&M Provider of the Year for 2017 at an exciting event at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham. The glitzy Solar Power Portal Awards played host to over 400 of the leading lights of the UK solar industry. It became home for the cream of the UK’s solar companies. The awards ceremony was hosted by Robert Llewellyn, famously known for his role as Kryten in the Red Dwarf TV Series. Llewellyn is also a keen green energy advocate in his own right.
How Did The Awards Work?
There were 13 awards up for grabs and after pre-dinner drinks and a 3 course meal, the tension mounted as the awards ceremony began. There was much joy in the room an hour later, with 13 companies and individuals being accredited with being the best in their category.
The O&M Provider of the Year category was a new category for 2017. The O&M sector of the solar industry is rapidly growing. Because of this, the category was fiercely contested. The award recognises contractors that have exceeded expectations in ensuring the UK’s solar infrastructure remains not just operational, but optimised to perform above expectations. Winning this award is testament to the hard work and dedication of all of our team. We have a company ethos of not just providing a high quality service, but by being pioneers. “Personally, this is the biggest achievement of my career. This is the second business I have set up from scratch, but is by far the most successful. I would not like to tot up how many hours I have worked over the last 4 years. Building this business has not been easy. Up until 18 months ago, I was running this business on my own, both office and field-based activities. Now I have an excellent team around me, square pegs in square holes. We continue to grow rapidly and take on professional, knowledgeable people who really bring an extra facet to the business. We will continue to provide our best to this industry.”
